You Are What You Eat

Have you heard this expression before?  I was thinking about this today and how it relates to weight control.  If you believe that you are what you eat, well then who would want to eat veggies when you can have cake?

Cake is pretty, it's sweet, everyone likes it, who wouldn't want to be like that?  Veggies... not so great.  Hmmmmmmmmmmm..... no wonder we have such a hard time giving up the stuff that makes us fat. 

I think we need to change the phrase to "you are NOT what you eat."  In other words, who you are is not defined by what you eat.  The person you truly are is NOT defined by the fat that surrounds your bones.
